Product feed integration

Any store with a feed can post like this

Point Synapis at a Google Shopping feed or a CSV and it turns the products into posts with a caption and a matching design. It works with whatever platform your store runs on.

The feed must be reachable at a public URL. No credentials needed.

  • You review every post before it goes live
  • Google Shopping XML or CSV
  • Re-fetched every night

From catalogue to published post

Four steps, and you only take part in two of them.

  1. 1

    Synapis reads your site

It learns your brand colours, tone of voice and what you sell from your own website. No questionnaire.

  2. 2

    Add your feed

Paste the public URL of your Google Shopping XML feed, a generic XML feed or a CSV file.

  3. 3

    It plans the week

Posts are spread across content pillars built from your data: best sellers, current offers, new arrivals and products you have in stock.

  4. 4

    You review, then publish

Each post arrives by email with its caption and design. Edit it, swap the product or regenerate it, then publish or schedule in one click.

Which feeds work

Synapis recognises the format from its structure, so there is nothing to map.

Google Shopping XML

The feed you may already publish for Google Merchant Center: id, title, image link, price, sale price, description, product type and link.

Generic product XML

A <products> document with one <product> element per item.

CSV with a header row

Columns such as id or sku, title or name, image, price, sale_price, description and category, plus stock and date columns if you have them.

Offers from sale prices

A sale price in the feed makes a product eligible for offer posts, with the discount stated in the caption.

New arrivals and stock

Add date and stock columns to a generic XML or CSV feed and those posts become available too.

Nothing to install

No app, token or plugin. If a browser can open the feed URL, Synapis can read it.

When a feed is the right choice

Use a feed when your store is not on Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento. Many platforms can publish a Google Shopping feed for Merchant Center, and most can export a CSV. You may also prefer a feed when you want to choose exactly which products Synapis sees.

A feed carries products only. It has no orders, so best-seller posts that depend on sales data are not available, and a Google Shopping feed brings no stock information. Posts come from offers, new arrivals and showcases instead. If you run Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento, their connectors give Synapis more to work with.

How it stays current

Synapis fetches the feed again every night, so new products, price changes and ended sales show up the next day. Each post still comes to you for review before anything is published to Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn.

Feed questions

How does Synapis tell XML from CSV?

From the file’s content type, or a URL ending in .csv. XML feeds are recognised by their structure, Google Shopping or generic.

Does the feed need to be public?

Yes. Synapis fetches it from its URL without credentials, so it must be reachable from the internet.

Can I get best-seller posts from a feed?

No. A feed has no sales data. Connect Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento if you want posts ranked by what sells.
